Contraindications and precautions
1.Do not use in patients with a history of potentially life-threatening hypersensitivity reactions (eg, anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome) to Zidovudine or any components of the formulations.
2.If you develop nausea, severe vomiting, or tachycardia, you must seek medical advice immediately.
3.If you develop muscle pain, muscle weakness, numbness, cold extremities, difficulty breathing, you must seek medical advice immediately.
4.Dosage adjustment is recommended in patients with renal impairment. If you have this condition, you should inform the physician. Click to listen highlighted text! Adverse Reactions
1.This medication may cause cardiovascular disease, discoloration of skin, excessive hair growth, nail discoloration.
2.This medication may cause rash, Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis.
3.This medication may cause fat maldistribution, constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting.
4.This medication may cause anemia, and neutropenia particularly in newborn infants, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, or lymphadenopathy.
5.This medication may cause headache, fatigue, fever.
6.This medication may cause side effects such as: headache, fever, fatigue, ears infection, impaired hearing, upper respiratory tract infection, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, change in body weight, hyperglycemia.
