Itraconazole 100 mg (GPO)



Indications

1.Treat fungal infections of the skin, nails, soft tissue, dermatophytosis, tinea versicolor.

Contraindications and precautions

1.Do not use if you had an allergic reaction to this medication or its components or any other Azoles.

2.Do not take this medication concurrently with Ergotamine (antimigraine drug) because it may result in cold extremities, pain, cyanosis.

3.Use this medication cautiously in pregnant women, and avoid using this medication in lactating women as safety data are not established.

4.Use this medication cautiously in patients with hepatic impairment.   Click to listen highlighted text! Recommendations of drug use

1.Take this medication with meals or after meals immediately to ensure maximal absorption.

2.Avoid taking Itraconazole together with antacids.

  Adverse Reactions

1.This medication may cause nausea, vomiting, stomachache, diarrhea, indigestion, dizziness, headache.

2.If you develop yellowing of the skin or the eyes, loss of appetite, dark coloured urine, discontinue the medication and seek medical advice immediately.

3.If the symptoms of suspected hypersensitivity reactions occur (such as swelling in the face, eyelids, lips, urticaria, erythematous rash),
