Ibuprofen suspension 100 mg/ 5 mL (Bunofen)


Indications

1.Treatment of pain, swelling and inflammation associated with certain conditions affecting the joints or muscles.

  Warnings

1.You should not take medication on an empty stomach in order to reduce gastric irritation.

  Contraindications and precautions

  1. 1.Do not use if you had an allergic reaction to this medication or its components.

    2.Do not use in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, or history of perforation caused by the medication.

    3.Do not use in the setting of Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting surgery.

    4.Avoid using this medication in pregnant women because it may cause harm to the unborn baby. But physician may consider prescribing this medication if there is a medical reason.

    5.Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs (medicines to relieve pain and inflammation), alcohol consumption, or smoking while using this medication in order to reduce adverse drug reactions especially side effects associated with gastrointestinal tract. (gastrointestinal ulceration or haemorrhage)

    6.Do not use in patients with dengue fever.

    7.Do not use in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.   Click to listen highlighted text!   Adverse Reactions

1.If the abnormal symptoms occur after taking this medication (such as gastrointestinal ulceration or haemorrhage [stomachache, haematemesis, black stool], renal dysfunction [edema, oliguria]),

the medication should be discontinued and seek medical advice immediately.

2.If the symptoms of suspected hypersensitivity reactions occur (such as swelling in the face, eyelids, lips, urticaria, erythematous rash),
