Bedaquiline fumarate 100 mg (SIRTURO)
Indications
SIRTURO is indicated as part of combination therapy in the treatment of adults (18 years and older) with pulmonary multi drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Click to listen highlighted text! Contraindications and precautions
1.Do not use in women known or suspected to be pregnant.
2.Do not use if you had an allergic reaction to the medication or its components.
3.This medication should be used with caution in children.
4.Use with caution in the patients with a history of gout and patients with hyperuricaemia.
5.The medication should be administered with care when co-administered with antituberculosis agents, pyrazinamide, as it may result in increased blood uric acid level.
6.The medication should be administered with care when co-administered with antidiabetic agents, repaglinide or pioglitazone, as it may result in hypoglycemia.
7.Use with caution in the patients with hepatic impairment.
